Gary Keller in the book “The One Thing” said;”
“It’s not that we have too little time to do all the things we need to do, it that we feel the need to do too many things in the time we have.”
Why do we feel the need to do more things than what we have time for?
It’s because we do not have clarity as to what our purpose is. We don’t have full confidence as to why God created us or why we are here.
Walking in your purpose brings fulfillment and satisfaction. When you don’t know what your purpose is then you have the tendency to keep saying yes to things, hoping the next thing will bring fulfillment.
Clarity of purpose gives us the boldness to say no to the many things that cry out for our attention.
The reality is this, we have all the time we need to fulfill the will of God and the purpose of God in our lives. If we are stress, anxious, and always tired then we are outside the will.
Jesus said, “Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
Find your purpose and you will discover the power to say no.
